About the item
The 2004 Case Basse di Gianfranco Soldera Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is one of the most celebrated and elegant Brunellos, produced from a small, meticulously farmed estate in Montalcino, Tuscany. Founded by Gianfranco Soldera in 1972, the estate emphasizes natural, low-intervention viticulture with hand-pruned Sangiovese vines planted on clay and Eocene soils. The estate is also known for its biodiverse approach, including extensive rose gardens and organic farming practices. Production is limited to around 15,000 bottles per year, and the wine is aged traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks, with the Riserva receiving extra aging before release.
