About the item
Both Henry Clay 16 and Joseph Finch 15 were released in 1997 by United Distillers (pre-Diageo) as a way to sell premium sourced bourbon combined with top shelf design and packaging. Unfortunately, they also chose to release both of these products without any provenance or disclosure. Mashbill, distillery and when/where the whiskey was aged and distilled remains a mystery although bottling took place at Stitzel-Weller.

Did You Know? Enthusiasts consider these the official late-90s precursor to Diageo's Orphan Barrel series: premium price point, high age statement, lower proof, limited bottle count and mystery barrel sourcing all wrapped up in a polished marketing and design package.
