Q - How much does it cost to join Unicorn Auctions?
A - It is completely free to register to bid or sell with Unicorn Auctions.
Q - How does Unicorn Auctions work?
A - Unicorn Auctions is a full-service auction marketplace, where you can place bids, sell items, and much more. Our auctions take place 100% digitally, on our web bidding platform and our iOS/Android apps.
Q - How do I place a bid on a bottle?
Q - How do I sell a bottle?
A - You can sign up to consign any item in our mobile auction platform, or either of our apps (we have two, available for both iOS and Android). Or send us a message and we'd be glad to walk you through it.
Q - What does it mean to ‘consign’ something?
A - Consignment means, in short - that you give the product you want to sell to the merchant, before it is sold - and when the sale happens, the profits are delivered to the selling party. In the case of Unicorn Auctions, the legal requirement for consignment means we have to physically take possession of everything we sell at auction.
Q - Do I have to send in my bottle to sell it?
A - Yes, the state auction laws require the managing auctioneer to physically take possession of all and every asset offered for sale via the auction.
Q - What is the commission charged to sell?
A - We charge 5% commission on the total sale price and $5 per bottles to sellers.
Q - I’m looking for a certain bottle, what should I do?
A - This kind of bottle-hunting is our specialty, and we would love to help you track down your target of choice. The first step on your end would be to let us know what you are looking for, either by messaging us on Instagram or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. After that, we are set up to work in close communication with you on finding the bottles that you've got your eyes on.
Q - Can I use Unicorn Auctions to buy a gift for someone?
A - Yes, absolutely. If you find something you want to give as a gift, all you need to do is bid on the product and win - and then we can deliver the gift with whatever details you've got in mind, to whoever the lucky recipient is. Or, if you'd like to buy auction credit for someone as a gift, reach out with a message and we'll get back to you ASAP.
Q - What is the buyers premium?
A - We charge 15% buyers premium, with no registration charges or membership fees up front.
Q - If I buy a bottle, can I ship it anywhere?
A - Yes, you can - the pricing depends on where the destination is, obviously, but we can work with you to make sure your unicorns are delivered to the right place. This is not something that we mess around with, delivery perfection is of upmost importance to us at Unicorn Auctions. Contact us ahead of time if you have any questions.

Q - Who sets the reserve price?
A - We work closely with all of our sellers to provide the best estimates for their unicorns. That said, there are more and more new products coming into the secondary market every single day. While the reserve price will be set close to the low end estimate provided, we will start most bids at a much lower price to aid us in price discorvery for similar items listed in the future.
